Who's The Cutest?

One of the funniest and most futile of arguments to have with your friends is what's the cutest thing going around on the internet, and over the years there have been some crazy cute alien babies from movies that have caught more attention than actual people. Some have absolutely dominated the media, and others are not as well known but still famous, so here are some weirdly cute infants from our pop culture:

The Child

The Child, colloquially dubbed "Baby Yoda" by both fans and non-fans alike, is an adorable green enigma that instantly caught the attention of everyone in the premiere of "Star Wars: The Mandalorian." He took over the internet in just three hours, and still maintains his status with thousands of theories, toys, and hilarious memes. Almost nothing is known about him except that he is strong in the Force and the cutest thing in the galaxy.  

Groot Jr.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn confirmed that Groot did indeed die, and this "Baby Groot" is actually the son of Groot, but still named Groot. He's an adorable little twig that is everyone's favorite as he works with a band of misfits to save the universe. And he's just as disagreeable, lovable, and bad-mouthed as his dad.

Rotta the Hutt

Heir to the Hutt crime empire and the son of the infamous Jabba the Hutt, Rotta ("Baby Jabba") came as the cute, little, innocent, green thing in the Star Wars galaxy before Baby Yoda in "The Clone Wars." While not as loved as Baby Yoda, the little stinker is still cute with his wide eyes and friendly, frog-like features.  

Detective Pikachu

The wise-cracking, caffeine-addicted, and fuzzy Detective Pikachu (Ryan Reynolds) is the adorable partner of Tim Goodman, who join forces to find Tim's missing father in his own titular movie, "Detective Pikachu." Tim is the only human who can understand Pikachu, and work together to unravel the tangled mystery.
